Note that on Debian stable we will still use whatever is linked in vendor/rails, since we known that that Debian already has the bits from 2.3.15 we need in its patched 2.3.5.

Now the plugins can create the folders 'step_definitions' and 'support' under the folder 'features' to extend cucumber features as it pleases. The plugins with any extension gain 2 new profiles on the cucumber.yml file. For example, for mezuro plugin, it will have the 'mezuro' and 'mezuro_selenium' cucumber profiles that will load the appropriate files. So if you extend cucumber with new steps, hooks, etc; and you want to run the cucumber tests of mezuro plugin with all these extensions you must include '-p mezuro' on the cucumber call (or '-p mezuro-selenium' to run selenium profile). This is already handled by the rake task that runs the plugins' tests. So it'd be much better to run 'rake test:noosfero_plugins:mezuro:{cucumber,selenium}' instead. Also: * Moving plugins' 'features' folder to the plugin' root instead of inside the folder 'test' (just following Rails convention). * Moving specific steps and hooks of mezuro from core to the plugin. * Requiring plugin to be enabled to run any of its tests.

Some requests aren't made directly by the user, like the request to get the favicon, and these guys are not displayed to the user. Therefore it's not necessary to render the full layout not_found, just sent the status of not_found

It was just a wrapper around controller, with no clear goal. In the end, the context will the object which invokes the plugins. Rigth now it means basically a controller, but wait a little bit and see. ;-)

* Every class now can declare that it is able to inlcude hotspots by declaring 'acts_as_having_hotspots'. It's important to note that every class that have hotspots must define an instance method named 'environment' that returns the environment associated with the instance. * Now the enabled_plugins method is centralized in the Thread.current making the plugins instantiation happen only once by Thread. Every request reinstantiate the plugins since every request creates a new Thread. The models that access this method only instantiate it if it wasn't instantiated already. * Since the models doesn't reinstantiate the plugins in the same Thread and the tests run in only one Thread, the tests that have some plugin stuff must clean the instantiation in the teardown.
