  I just found out the --import option in the command line while browsing through the source code.

  But when I used it, it shows up a dialog box for fraction of a second and disappears and then hangs. The hanging looks like it is blocked for the dialog box to be closed.

  I think the dialog box is like the one here img3​39.i​mage​shac​k.us​/img​339/​1722​/dia​logh​.png

    

  Any ideas?

  I have downloaded Invesalius source coded and its dependencies, and still trying to build the "Invesalius3.0.exe". Is there a documentation some where about building InVesalius (preferably in English)?

    Hi Ram,

    Welcome to the InVesalius community.

    It's able invoke InVesalius with -i parameter for an DICOM folder.

    Example: "C:\ProgramFiles\InVesalius3\Dist\InVesalius 3.0.exe" -i C:\dicom_folder

    Is this what you want?

      The option (-i and --import) is perfectly working in 32 bit Windows, but not in 64 bit windows. I tried both 32bit and 64bit versions of InVesalius on Win7 64 . 

      While browsing the source code, in the file \InVesalius\invesalius\invesalius\invesalius.py line number 110, there is a comment "FIXME: This works ok in linux2, darwin and win32, except on win64, due to wxWidgets bug"

      I think the wxWidgets bug is also the reason for this issue, Is there a work around?

        Are you running from source code?

        Yes, it is a problem with wxWidgets version, we are searching for a solution.

        The binary version of  InVesalius Win 64bits, are tested here in Win 7 and XP 64Bits and are working.

          I am invoking the installed 64 bit binary "InVesalius 3.0.exe" on Win7 64 bit. The 32 bit version was no different. Hope the solution or a workaround becomes available soon.
